Shannon R. “Goober” Christensen, 42, of Kenosha, passed away peacefully, Wednesday, May 16, 2012.

She was born on August 25, 1969 to James and Elsa (Brekeller) Christensen in Kenosha. She was educated in the schools of Kenosha.

Shannon was a caregiver for many years.

Shannon enjoyed working in her yard, crocheting and riding her new motorcycle with her fiancé. Most of all she loved watching her daughter play softball. Shannon was a loving and caring mother who always was there for her children Robert and Abigail.

Shannon is survived by her fiancé Ryan Clay, her children Robert T. Hughes and Abigail R. Derengowski, her father James Christensen and her sisters Stacey L. Christensen all of Kenosha and Teisha Christensen of Hebron, IL. She is also survived by aunts, nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her mother Elsa U. Omann and her cousin Robin Samsoe.

Funeral Services for Shannon will be held on Monday, May 21st at 3:30 p.m. at the Bruch Funeral Home. Visitation will be held on Monday afternoon from 1:30 p.m. until the time of service. Memorials would be appreciated to the family.
