Violet M. Hucker, 89, of Kenosha, passed away peacefully, Thursday, July 12, 2012 at Kindred Nursing Home. She was born on October 5, 1922 to the late Frank and Madeline (Gill) Goerndt in Kenosha. She was educated in Kenosha and graduated from Kenosha High School.
On November 4, 1944 she married Wallace “Bud” Hucker at St. George Rectory. He preceded her in death on September 13, 1981.
Violet worked as a switchboard operator at St. Catherine’s Hospital for many years.
Violet enjoyed reading and playing bingo.
Violet is survived by her nine grandchildren Lori (Bond) Haldeman, Christopher (Kelly) Dillard, Michael Dillard, Aaron Dillard, Renee (William) Wells, Gregory Hucker, Leslie (Ryan) Kerkman, Keri Castillo and Daniel (Nikki) Hucker and ten great grandchildren.
Violet was preceded in death by her parents Frank Goerndt and Madeline Goerndt Lasik, her children Sue Dillard, Wallace “Lee” Hucker and Thomas Hucker.
Funeral Services for Violet will be held on Saturday, July 14th at 3:00 p.m. at the Bruch Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Green Ridge Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Saturday afternoon from 2:00 p.m. until the time of service.
