Louise M. Rasmussen

Louise M. Rasmussen, 72, of Kenosha, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, Monday, June 17, 2013 at St. Catherine’s Hospital.

She was born on February 17, 1941 to the late Kenneth and Bessie (Johnson) DeLap in Walworth County. She was educated in the schools of Kenosha and graduated from Mary D. Bradford High School.

Louise worked as a chef at the Holiday Inn for many years and then at the Crow’s Nest for several years.

On July 11, 1978 she married William “Frederick” Rasmussen in Kenosha.

Louise was a member of the Kenosha United Christian Church.

Louise loved being on Facebook and socializing. She enjoyed crocheting, crafts, listening to Country music and collected porcelain dolls. Louise was a strong woman who held her family together.

Louise is survived by her loving husband, her children Shelly (Mike) Schultz of Stoddard, WI, James Maynard of Kenosha, Jeannie Herrera of Racine, Eric (Kathy) Rasmussen of LaCrosse, WI and Pamela Despots of Kenosha, her foster daughters Renee, Brenda and Shelley, her sister Virginia Kerr of Nebraska, her grandchildren Christopher Herrera, Jennifer Geuerra, Andrew Rasmussen, Neil Black, Justin Rasmussen, Travis Delabio, Anasthasia Rasmussen, Caitlyn Rasmussen, Seth Delabio, Keith Delabio, Mason Schultz and Kenneth Schlater and her six great grandchildren.

A son Ronald Maynard in infancy, a brother Richard Miller and a sister Elaine DeLap preceded her in death.

Funeral Services for Louise will be held on Friday, June 21st at 11:00 a.m. at the Bruch Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Sunset Ridge Memorial Park. Visitation will be held on Thursday evening from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and again on Friday morning from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
