Elsa Ursala Omann

Elsa Ursala Omann, 63, of Kenosha, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family, Sunday, April 8, 2012 at her residence.
She was born on February 2, 1949 to the later Ernst and Christel (Schmitdke) Brekeller in Jesberg, Germany. She came to the United States as a young girl and was educated in the schools of Kenosha. After being together for 20 years she married Robert Omann on May 31, 2000 in Kenosha. He preceded her in death on October 8, 2003. Elsa worked at AMC/Chrysler as a line worker for 28 years, retiring in 2009. Elsa was a member of the Lighthouse Baptist Church in Racine and a member of UAW Local #72. Elsa was very talented in sewing and crafts. She enjoyed gardening, crossword puzzles, cooking and riding Harley Davidson motorcycles. Most of all she loved being with her family and friends. Elsa is survived by her loving daughters Stacey Lynn Christensen and Shannon Renate Christensen both of Kenosha, her sisters Renate Fumich of Kenosha and Marrianne Connolly of CA, her grandchildren Destini (David) Myrum, Nicole (Eric) Jovanovic, John-Kevin Stern, Robert Hughes and Abigail Derengowski, her great grandchildren Madesen, Robin, Tyler-Alan, Brianna, Cole, Christel and David Jr. She is also survived by a special niece Taranne Robinson of Kenosha and her loving and faithful friend and pet Gracie Lynn. She is preceded in death by a brother John and a niece Robin Samsoe. Funeral Services for Elsa will be held on Friday, April 13th at 10:30 a.m. from the Bruch Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Green Ridge Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday evening from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home and again on Friday morning from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
